Power and Perfection
In terms of performance, the laptop is an absolute beast. The intel core i9 latest 12th gen processor is capable enough to handle almost any task you through on it. It doesn’t matter if you play games in it or do any other productivity work; the raptor lake processor can take it all.
The reason behind this is the processor has 14 powerful cores. These 14 cores ensure you don’t hinder your experience while performing your favorite tasks. These cores are built using hybrid technology. For instance, these nine cores are balanced so that it perfectly manages power and efficiency.
For instance, it can easily handle almost all the latest triple-A titles. This feels fascinating right? If yes, then there is something even better for you. It lets you enjoy these demanding games at high frame rates.
On the other hand, if you are a creator who doesn’t play games but needs a machine that can perform all creating tasks, editing, and design, then it can be your choice. Let alone photo editing, and it can handle intensive tasks like 4k video editing. The i9 12th processor has the capability to render a 4k video clip in a couple of minutes.
Overall, I would say there is nothing to complain about regarding the performance. Irrespective of your user type, it can serve without any issues.
Display
The area where the razer blade disrupted its competition entirely is the display. What’s so special about its display? Let me clear this to you.
It comes with a standard 15.6 inches display. What is exciting is that it comes with a range of display options. For instance, you can choose from a full HD, QHD, or 4k display. The display has minimal bezels, so it can’t distract your viewing experience. In addition, the whole display range offers 100% sRGB so that every color looks the way it is to your eyes.
If you do a lot of editing-related stuff, such as video editing, photo editing, or logo designing, you can opt for the 4k version. Moreover, the QHD display variety is also more than enough. Whereas if you want a decent display where you can watch content and enjoy your favorite games. Likewise, if you don’t care about those small details, you can opt for that standard Full HD display. Either way, you will get solid value.
Whether you’re going with FHD 360Hz, QHD, or 4K, get more out of your viewing experience with a thin, 15.6″ edge-to-edge display that offers minimal bezel distraction and is custom calibrated for color accuracy and quality.
Ram and Storage
The RAM and storage of the razer blade 15 laptops are pretty great. The next-gen LPDDR5 RAM powers the laptop. In case you don’t know, it is the latest and fastest version of RAM. To provide you with the best experience while multitasking, it combines the RAM with 512GB super-fast nvme SSD.
Whether you are switching between browser tabs or switching between your favorite software, the LPDDR5 RAM and SSD combination lets you do it flawlessly.
Battery Life
Here comes the exciting part about the razor blade 15: battery. Sadly the battery life isn’t impressive. During testing, I found out that it runs around five and a half hours for the advanced model. Whereas If we look at the base model, that is even more surprising. During my testing with a 1080-pixel video playback. The battery last less than five hours.
If we compare these stats with the competitors, then it is a bit on the lower side. But it is definitely on the downside, considering that it’s a super premium machine. However, five and a half hours while extensive tasks aren’t too bad.
Another thing worth noticing here is that the performance decreases as the battery goes down. While testing, I found a sudden drop in performance while playing games. In my opinion, I will recommend using it plugged into the machine while performing any extensive task.
Design and Build
The thing you will notice by looking after seeing the razer blade 15 is the typical Razer Blade design. If you have seen its previous models, the design is identical. There has been no significant change made in the last three generations.
In terms of design, no other brand can match the Razor blade. At least for now. Despite not upgrading the design for a couple of years, the design still feels fantastic. The top model’s uni-body design looks way more premium than most gaming laptops. The slim design factor makes the laptop feel slim and sturdy.
The thing that can be improved, in my opinion, is the logo on the back. It has a glowing green logo. It would have been better if they had gone with RGB lighting. Well, that’s my personal opinion. Overall the design is super-premium; you will not face any issues.
Razer Blade 15 Keyboard
The razer blade 15 comes with a beautiful RGB keyboard. The spacing between keys is excellent, so you can type faster without issues. It comes with flat keys, unlike regular gaming laptops, which is rare. I am not saying flat keys are better, it completely depends on what you like.
One thing to note is that you don’t get complete lighting control over your keyboard on the base model. However, you can change color as per your choice, but that color will apply to the whole keyboard, Whereas in the advanced model, you can control and change lighting for each key separately.
How’s the Razer Blade 15 overall?
Now back to the most crucial question. Is the razer blade 15 worth the hype? I would say yes. Well, there are a couple of reasons behind this. From the build quality and screen to performance, everything is top-notch.
Even though I liked the machine very much, this is not for everyone. They are super expensive because of this, not everyone can afford them. On the other hand, you will feel the premiums. Moreover, they are not just regular laptops with a plastic build and some features.
Overall, this machine gives you almost everything you need on a gaming laptop. If you have the money, go for it.
